US consulate on Chennai tries to create PR through social media

United States has created a Facebook page for its consulate in Chennai. For anyone who has suffered the less than pleasant experience of getting visas and other documents from various consulates in India, the social media presence of a US embassy is a nice surprise .

As per this post, officers from the US consulate in Chennai used Facebook to answer questions about business and work visas.

What a sharp contrast to embassies like Ukraine, where it is difficult to get even basic questions answered on how to apply for a tourist visa!
