Ketchum Sampark to launch change management services within the year

Ketchum Sampark is planning to launch its change management services in India in the next 3 to 6 months. Globally, Ketchum offers this service through its brand ‘Ketchum Change’ which assists corporate leaders and their organisations through major change that follows restructuring or mergers and acquisitions.
Among the services Ketchum offers to companies under ‘Ketchum Change’ is help lead and communicate through a period of change, ensure cultural alignment and performs checks on the status of internal communication.
The team for ‘Ketchum Change’ globally consists of both communication experts and psychologists.
NS Rajan, managing director, Ketchum Sampark pointed out that Mergers and Acquisitions are on the rise in India. The last decade has seen many big ticket M &A’s such as the Tata Motors-Jaguar Land Rover, Sterlite-ASARCO and of course, the ill fated Tata Steel-Corus deal. There has also action in the e-commerce space, including the FlipKart acquisition of Myntra.
Rajan believes that the trend for M&A will strengthen in old business as well as in the highly active e-commerce, specially e-retail, categories.
Ketchum Sampark growth in India
Omnicom Group owned Ketchum acquired Sampark PR in 2011 via a majority stake. Jon Higgins, senior partner & CEO, International for Ketchum told PRmoment India that India continues to be a high growth market.
Surajeet Das Gupta, chief operating officer, Ketchum Sampark said that their Delhi region alone has seen 70% growth in the last six months and that he expects telecom, IT, media and entertainment, startups and defence to be the focus areas of growth.
Financial Services and Tech also remains a core strength for Ketchum Sampark in India.
Talent and PR
Commenting on the overall talent crunch in the PR business, Higgins said that, “We can’t find people as fast as we are growing. As an industry group, PR has always struggled to find talent. But as the business goes through a transition this has become very acute.”
