Prasidha Menon takes over as head of communications, OYO

OYO Hotels, South Asia’s largest hotel chain, today announced the appointment of Prasidha Menon as the head of Communications. Menon has over 13 years of experience and will be looking at both internal and external communications for OYO in India and other international markets. In this role, she will be responsible for driving OYO's reputation forward and delivering against the company's mission of redefining the future of living, through sustained corporate reputation management programs and targeted brand-building campaigns.

She will be a thought partner to every OYOpreneur, enabling them to share their side of the story. She will be a key member of the leadership team. Menon joins at a time when the firm is on a path to growth and expanding aggressively in China. It has recently won the ET start-up of the year award.

Before OYO, Prasidha was leading communications for Uber in India and South Asia. This involved managing communications for several business milestones, strategic partnerships, executive visits, geo expansion, product launches, including the market entry for the UberEats business and its expansion in over 20+ cities in India in less than 15 months.

At 35, Menon is one of the youngest corporate communications leads in the country along with PAYTM's Sonia Dhawan and Policy Bazaar's Aman Dhall. Menon previously spent 6 years at Edelman India including a stint at Edelman Digital in San Francisco, where she moved as a part Edelman’s  Daniel J. Edelman Global Fellows Program. During the fifteen months of fellowship, Menon worked on the communications for the split strategy for HP, currently two separate companies, HP Inc. and Hewlett-Packard Enterprise.
