Sandeep Gurumurthi joins Aditya Birla Group as group head corporate communications & brand

Former executive editor for ET now, Sandeep Gurumurthi has joined the 44.3 billion dollar Aditya Birla Group as group head, corporate communications and brand.
Gurumurthi will report directly to the group chairman, Kumar Mangalam Birla.
During his time with ET Now, Gurumurthi was its main prime time anchor, hosting shows such as 'India Development Debate' at 9 PM.
Dr Pragnya Ram, the iconic corporate communication professional who has been with the group for 22 years, will now handle CSR.
The Aditya Birla Group is a manufacturing giant with operation in areas such as cement, aluminium rolling, viscose staple fibres and fertilizer plants. According to their website, over half of the group's revenue comes from overseas operations. The group chairman recently announced an investment of 15,000 crore rupees over the next three years in Gujarat in areas as diverse as minerals and textiles. These include both capacity expansion and adding new units.
