Tata Motors sacks head of corporate communication following sexual harassment investigation

Tata Motors has let go of its' head of corporate communication after a month-long investigation into allegations of sexual harassment, employees were informed via an internal statement by the auto major. The executive was asked to proceed on leave in October following charges made on Twitter regarding instances of sexual harassment.

PRmoment India has also confirmed that Ashmita Pillai, deputy general manager, corporate communication will take charge of communications at Tata Motors till a replacement is found.

Last month, Tata Sons also terminated the contract of a well-known brand consultant, after allegations of sexual harassment were made by at least 5 women publicly. The latest development, even as Flipkart Group CEO, resigned this Tuesday after a whistle-blower complaint was investigated, shows that firms are now taking swift action to demonstrate their concern about #MeToo issues.
