Max Healthcare appoints Tanushree Roy Chowdhury as deputy GM, corporate communications and PR

Max Healthcare has announced the appointment of Tanushree Roy Chowdhury, as deputy general manager – corporate communications & PR. In her new role, Tanushree will head corporate communications and public relations for the brand, and be responsible for external and internal communication across all Max Healthcare network hospitals.

She will play a key role in building and maintaining strategic interface with media and internal stakeholders to deliver Max Healthcare’s message of  their new positioning – 'Eager to Get You Home'.  As part of her efforts, Tanushree will also be responsible for overseeing reputation management across media and audience sets. She will be reporting to Anas Abdul Wajid, director – sales and marketing, Max Healthcare and the current communications team will be reporting into Tanushree.

Tanushree brings along close to 13 years of experience across communication and media functions, with 5 years of experience in corporate communication in the healthcare sector. As part of her previous assignment, she was the lead – PR for NCR region at Fortis Healthcare Ltd, heading 10 units for PR and corporate communications. Prior to her role as a PR professional, she has worked as a journalist with 'The Time of India' and 'The Indian Express', in various capacities.

Speaking about her appointment, Tanushree Roy Chowdhury said “I’m extremely honoured to lead the corporate communications function at Max Healthcare. The Indian healthcare sector is at the cusp of significant policy developments, which will have an impact on the direction of industrial growth. Also, with media playing an increasingly pivotal role in shaping public opinion, especially for a sensitive space like healthcare, it is critical to establish the nuances of patient care and build greater understanding about healthcare practitioners, doctors and delivery systems.”.
