Second largest Indian car maker Hyundai Motor India Ltd. hires First Partners for PR mandate

Hyundai Motor India Ltd., the country’s largest exporter and the second largest car manufacturer has appointed First Partners as its public relations consultant for India following a multi-agency pitch. First Partners’ mandate involves supporting Hyundai's corporate communication and brand initiatives across all Hyundai offerings in India.

Earlier this year, Hyundai said it would introduce as many as 8 new models for India by 2020 while phasing out it's popular hatchback i10 model. Hyundai has also said it would push fo rits hybrid card models for India by 2018.

Speaking on the appointment, Atul Ahluwalia, Founding Partner, First Partners, said “We are pleased that Hyundai Motor India has chosen First Partners as their public relations partner. I am confident that our team’s rich experience in the auto sector coupled with the business outcome focused communication approach of our firm will help us further consolidate Hyundai’s position in the Indian market. First Partners is a full-service communications consultancy which specializes in integrating communication solutions. Made up of senior leadership that split from Weber Shandwick India last year, the firm won the mandate for Danone India earlier this year.
