Weber Shandwick India named communication partner for PSI India

Population Services International (PSI) India has appointed Weber Shandwick India as its communication partner. In this role, Weber Shandwick will work on healthcare, sanitation and family planning for PSI India.

Weber won the brief after an open tender process that saw participation from leading agencies within the country. Established in 1988, PSI India compliments the efforts of the Government of India in priority health areas of maternal and child health, sanitation, tuberculosis, family planning, and gender-based violence. Using PSI’s market development approach and targeted social behavior change, PSI India works to address market failures in the public health space across the country.

“For us, it was all about finding a communication partner that understands us in all aspects, right from our heritage to our specific communication mandate. The idea was to work with an experienced team and Weber Shandwick’s proposal was the unanimous choice for us. We look forward to our alliance and are certain that Weber Shandwick’s expertise in the domain will help us build a sound communication process which would be a value addition to PSI’s operations in India,” said Pritpal Marjara, managing director, PSI India.

“We are pleased to be the partner of choice for PSI India. We have found a partner who believes in our ability to create insight-driven innovative campaigns which influence targeted social behavior change in India," said Valerie Pinto, CEO, Weber Shandwick India.
