Senior PR professional Naraayan Kannan has been appointed as the head of PR and corporate communications at METRO Cash & Carry India, the country’s largest wholesale retailer. Naraayan will be responsible for the driving the internal and external communications charter for the Germany based retailer in India.
METRO was the first international firm to enter the wholesale cash & carry business in India.
Naraayan has spent close to 14 years in varied roles in the communications industry. His last assignment was heading brand communications for Sachin Tendulkar as part of his internal team at SRT Sports Management.He has also handled large scale strategic communication mandates for large cap companies, brands and individuals extending into issue management, crisis communications, government & public policy issues, operations management and celebrity advisory.
