Adip Puri joins as country lead of APACMed, association for medtech companies

Adip Puri, recently associate director with APCO, has now taken over as country lead for the Asia Pacific Medical Technology Association (APACMed).

The Asia Pacific Medical Technology Association (APACMed) represents manufacturers and suppliers of medical equipment, devices and in-vitro diagnostics, industry associations and other key stakeholders associated with the medical technology industry in Asia Pacific. 

The mandate 

Puri told PRmoment India that he will be responsible for developing the country's overall strategy in line with APACMed's regional strategy. His focus is on elevating the association's presence, brand awareness, visibility, and engagement in India.  

He will also lead APACMed India's 'Centers of Excellence for Government Affairs and Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, and Digital Health.'

Puri brings over 12 years of multi-sector experience across government relations, policy advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and corporate communications, having worked in corporate, consulting, and government settings.

Previously, Puri worked for APCO Worldwide, a global public affairs firm, for over 7 years, consulting for Fortune 500 companies, Not-for-profits, and associations, among others. He represented their business interests and positions on various policy and regulatory matters to relevant departments and ministries at the centre, state, and local levels.

Before joining APCO, Puri held corporate affairs roles with multinationals such as Alstom and Ingersoll Rand. He started his career with MSL Group and has executed projects for Deloitte and the 2010 Commonwealth Games. 

Adip has an MBA from Heriot-Watt University, UK. Additionally, he received the Kautilya Fellowship from the India Foundation and the Ministry of External Affairs in 2019 and 2020.
