Opera Software, which also makes the Opera Coast browser for iPhone and iPad, has hit 50 million Opera Mini users in India. This makes Opera the third largest app in India after Facebook and WhatsApp.
So naturally, Opera decided to do a Bollywood style flash mob to announce this. Led by Lars Boilesen, CEO of Opera Software, the news was celebrated through dance at a local Gurgaon mall.
The flash mob was followed by a meet up for Opera users and bloggers. Lars Boilesen, CEO of Opera Software, told PRmoment India that the next target is 100 million users in India.
This growth is expected to come from new languages and tier 2 cities.
