Here’s how 30 under 30 PR folks are spending the summer of 2016!

Time was when summer was spent indoors or at the place of agreeable relatives. But the millennial generation has much better plans. Plans that involve solo trips and horror movie marathons. Coffee almond fudge ice cream and shopping. All girl vacays.  And a trip to Lord Shiva’s abode.  Plans that will give you serious vacation envy. Listen in.

Why he loves summer vacations
“These escapades are life savers. I press the mute button on all things. I indulge myself in all these detox and spa things. I go foot reflexology as that is absolutely my thing.

Back at work blues
“When I'm back at work, honestly I get a little bit paranoid. But when I see all my reports, weekly progress status and other immediate objectives, I calm down internally. The vacation hangover is something that really bothers me, and moreover if you're a leisure loving person. I feel anxious primarily on the day of return. But as always I slowly dissolve myself in work.

“I am a shopaholic and so I am planning to invest more time into summer shopping.”

Being good!
“I will definitely be utilizing the longer summer days to explore work beyond office hours and invest time in research and knowledge on the industry and its working.”

Back at work goals
“The summers in Delhi leave you almost experiencing what a chicken in an oven would experience and during such days, the stress at work gets amplified. Yes, the AC’s do work but nothing can beat the Delhi heat demon. I would want much more balance and perseverance in myself so that I can manage such situations in a better way.”

24 year old Chandreyi Bandyopadhyay works with Hill + Knowlton Strategies

A Bengali by birth, choses to live and
work in Bengaluru

Summer trip, house move, trip home all done and dusted!

What Chandreyi did this summer?
“This summer, which took Bangaloreans through a new experience of the mercury too high up started off on a good note for me. It was the time for my first solo trip, to Mahabaleshwar from Bengaluru.“

Why a solo trip
“The mid-20s crisis (the newly coined term for our generation) hit me late in 2015. Everything that used to be a high point seemed like a confused blur, and I did not know what I want to do or become. Taking time out for my own became difficult in the hustle-bustle of doing even better at my PR job; what became a great relationship with clients in the past started feeling like an uncalled for burden. And I knew something was wrong with me and not the world. My solo trip was meant to be only a breather, but somehow it turned out to be a refresher. Sitting on a boat alone in the middle of Mahabaleshwar Lake, knots resolved automatically in my mind and the world started looking prettier again.”

The wilderness of Kasol is the perfect location for this and I cannot wait to relax and unwind amidst the pint trees and its scenic beauty. I also intend catching up with the cute dogs at ‘Welfare for Stray Dogs’ at Mahalaxmi!”
