Amit Adarkar believes market research in India is poised to take off

charge of operations director, Ipsos Asia Pacific, with immediate effect.

Adarkar now dons two hats – of CEO, Ipsos India and Operations Director for APAC region; and has a dual reporting – to Christophe Cambournac, CEO of Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA) - which continues; and additionally, to Hamish Munro, Ipsos global CEO Operations and Ipsos Interactive Services (IIS), encompassing offline and online operations (for Asia Pacific Region). 

 All operations heads in the Asia Pacific region and the IIS team based in Malaysia will now be reporting to Adarkar.

The firm stated in a release that Ipsos India has grown by 50 per cent since 2014, after Adarkar donned the mantle as Ipsos India CEO, elevating Ipsos to the third position in market research, in India.

 “Clients have contracted timelines and their needs are multi-faceted – there is a need for automation and efficiencies in online, offline and mobile operations. My remit is to standardize and transform operations across APAC for Ipsos,” says Amit Adarkar, CEO Ipsos India & operation director, APAC, Ipsos.

An alumnus of XLRI, Jamshedpur and IIT Mumbai, Adarkar has over two decades of work experience spanning MNCs and Indian market research companies.
