Bhavna Satyanarayan takes over as APAC head, communications for Care Chemicals at global giant BASF

Bhavna Satyanarayan has taken over as the APAC head of communications for Care Chemicals at the global chemicals giant BASF. Till recently, Satyanarayan was handling marketing, brand and communications at Volvo Buses.

She will be based in Hong Kong and will also oversee the India communication for Care Chemicals, in her new role.

Care Chemicals supplies active ingredients for personal care products ranging from sun protection to the body and skin care. BASF has also devised innovation platforms to explore the development of active ingredients based on genetics that can target customised skin cells and plant extraction. 

A recent 'Personal Care Chemicals Market' report said that " The India personal care chemicals market is expected to register the fastest growth of more than 12% among other Asia-Pacific countries." The report also said that the increasing adoption of men’s grooming products (growth of more than 42% since the last five years) in the country too is expected to have a favourable effect on the market."
