Chhavi Leekha takes over as Director of Communications for Uber in India

Chhavi Leekha, former group president (brand and corporate communications), Spice Global, has taken over as director of communications for Uber Technologies Inc. India.  

Chhavi has 16 years of experience as a marketing and communication professional and previously worked at GE India as the advertising and branding communications leader.

Chhavi starts at Uber at a time when the taxi aggregator giant has faced a slew of bad press, both in India and internationally, over its driver verification and GPS tracking process. In Delhi, following the violent attack in December on a young woman by an Uber cab driver, the cab services were temporarily suspended.

Uber has recently been valued at 40 billion dollars after it raised 1.2 billion dollars in its last funding round.
