Concept PR has won the mandate to handle the PR and investor relations for Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Limited.
The period of engagement is for one year. The news was confirmed via a formal filing done by GMDC with the stock exchanges regarding the mandate.
The Government of Gujarat owned mining firm has been performing well on the bourses in the last few weeks. Business Standard attributed this to expectations of improved performance due to price hike in the firm's lignite division. As per a formal company release dated 28th January, 2022, "The company reported its best quarter this year with a revenue of Rs. 764 Cr."
The firm was set up in 1963 with a silica sand quarrying plant.
