This makes Someshwar the first Indian to occupy an APAC operations leadership role at Current Global. Current Global is a mid-sized global agency formed by the merger of Current Marketing and Creation in April 2019
The APAC region comprises countries such as China, Singapore, Indonesia; among others. It does not include the Australasia belt though.
Someshwar told PRmoment India that, "Part of my role is to work with the China leadership to shape the agency”. Current Global has also announced that Carrie Wu and Cherry Tao have started serving as co-market leads for China from November 1.
Wu and Tao will be driving market growth and leading the agency’s corporate and technology (Wu) and consumer marketing (Tao) practices in China.

Someshwar has served as managing director of Current India for over five years, taking the firm from start-up to employing more than 50 team members in Mumbai and Delhi. The team recently added LinkedIn to its roster of clients, which also includes Castrol, Fossil Group, Hyatt, Merck, Omidyar Network, Medtronic, Seagate and Twitter.
“As Current Global reaches its 9-month mark, we are delighted to announce further expansion in China.
