Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), one of India's largest consumer companies, has concluded its merger with GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Limited.
Following that Deepa Dey, formerly head communications and CSR for the Indian subcontinent at GSK Consumer Healthcare is now head of communication and sustainability for nutrition and special projects at HUL.
With over 25 years of experience, Dey has worked intensively as a corporate communications professional at marquee brands such as Airtel, GSK, The Park Hotels and also worked at the beginning of her career as a stringer for The Economic Times.
In December 2018, Unilever announced its takeover of the health foods portfolio of GSK. This includes the iconic Horlicks and Boost drinks. Earlier this year, according to the Economic Times, the National Company Law Tribunal in Chandigarh cleared the merger, paving the way for its formal conclusion today.
