Euromonitor appoints Hari Ayengar as global Communications chief

Market research giant Euromonitor International has announced the appointment of seasoned PR specialist Hari Ayengar as its global head of PR and communications.

Hari joined Euromonitor International’s marketing leadership team in September 2022 and will work towards developing the organisation’s global external and internal communications structure in the Americas, Europe, Middle-East, Africa, India, and the Asia-Pacific regions.

Headquartered in London, where Hari is based, Euromonitor also has a sizeable operation in India with its office in Bengaluru.

Reflecting on his appointment, Hari noted: “I am excited to be embarking upon this new chapter in my career at Euromonitor International, one of the biggest names in the world of strategic market research and business intelligence.”

“Euromonitor provides in-depth analysis from 100 countries and data from over 200 countries and territories. With our products helping businesses in every time zone there is, and a team of colleagues spread over 16 offices worldwide, I look forward to helping take Euromonitor’s communications to the next level across all our markets.”

Hari joins Euromonitor following a spell at British tech unicorn and money transfer giant Zepz/WorldRemit, where he led the communications department as its global director of PR & communications. Hari helped take the organisation’s public relations through market expansion and client growth, a US$292 million Series E funding round, and a pre-IPO news cycle.

Born and raised in Mumbai, Hari started out as a journalist in the city with a two-year tenure at the local tabloid Yuva.

Over the past 15 years, Hari has helped manage EMEA communications from Paris for NYSE Euronext stock exchange-listed fintech major Ingenico and later served as associate director of communications for Europe's biggest education incubator/network Global University Systems, which also has a large operation in India with offices in Hyderabad and Gurugram.
