Gayathri Chandrashekar is now associate director,  PR and corp comm at the digital management platform, PhonePe.

PhonePe is one of the leading online payment apps in India, competing with Google Pay, Paytm and Amazon Pay. The app was incubated by the e-commerce giant, Flipkart. Recently, food delivery major Zomato also gained permission to launch a payment app in India.

A graduate of Bishop Cottons Women's Christian College, Chandrashekhar started her career with Adfactors PR in 2008. Subsequently, she has worked with Avian WE, Freecharge, and Global Analytics. She has also worked as an intern with Forbes magazine.
