GE South Asia's chief communication and brand officer, Rachana Panda, set to exit firm by December end

Rachana Panda, GE South Asia's chief communication and brand officer has decided to move on from the firm where has spent over seven years,

In a statement released today, GE said, "Rachana is widely recognized for her strategic approach to brand management, communications, reputation and measurement."

Speaking on her exit, Vishal Wanchoo, CEO & President of GE South Asia said, “Rachana has been a great asset to GE and we thank her for her excellent leadership on building the GE brand in the region through innovative storytelling. She built a strong communications team, trusted and credible relationship with the stakeholders and strong business-centric communications strategy. Rachana’s strategic foresight, leadership and passion will be greatly missed. Wishing her the very best.”

Speaking to PRmoment India, Panda said,  "My seven and a half years at GE are nothing short of a pleasant and enriching experience, that I am so proud of. I am truly fortunate to have worked with fantastic peers, inspiring leaders, great managers and best of all, a fantastic supportive team."

Panda added, "It's always great to move forward on a high note. I am taking some personal time off before I decide on my next assignment. Aiming to do fun things like travelling and learning music. Things I have always wanted to do but never had time for."

Panda has a masters in business administration and has spent almost 25 years in corporate communications, working with firms such as Alcatel and ALSTOM.
