Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) Pvt. Ltd - one of India’s largest FMCG companies – today announced the appointment of Kamlesh Kumar Sharma as its first ever chief communications officer. He will lead the corporate reputation and brand building exercise for HCCB, leveraging diverse media platforms - paid, owned, earned and shared. He will be based in Bengaluru and report to Christina Ruggiero, CEO, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages.
This announcement follows a slew of leadership changes at Coca-Cola and it's bottling arm HCCB.
Announcing the appointment, Ms. Christina Ruggiero, said, “We warmly welcome Kamlesh to HCCB. We are excited at the prospect of being able to leverage his rich experience in brand building and communication, when HCCB sets foot towards the next phase of growth. Kamlesh will have a significant role to play in shaping the HCCB brand and its reputation.”
Kamlesh moves to Hindustan Coca-Cola after having served as director, corporate communications and alliances, at Coca-Cola India Pvt Ltd. He has 18 years of work experience handling a variety of roles like Brand PR, Category Communication, Social and Digital Communications, Media Relations and Sustainability Marketing.
Prior to working with Coca-Cola India, Kamlesh has worked at Bharti Airtel Limited and at Rediffusion Y&R for 5 years. He has a Master’s degree in Business Administration, specializing in Marketing.
