Honda Cars India Ltd. shifts PR mandate to Avian WE

Avian WE, today announced that it will now be Honda Cars India's communications agency on record. The communications firm stated that it will be responsible for growing awareness about the premium car manufacturer across India through multi-channel integrated communications campaigns.

 Rajesh Goel, senior vice president and director, marketing and sales, Honda Cars India Limited, commented, “Avian WE’s proposed strategy aligns with our communications objectives and we look forward to working with them.”

The firm’s remit includes expanding the automaker’s thought leadership around the future of the automobile industry in India. Avian WE will partner with the brand to demonstrate its products and innovation, The firm will also manage media engagement, expanding the brand’s overall corporate and product narratives.

Avian WE’s public relations team will partner with Honda, led by Neha Mehrotra, executive vice president of client centricity. The work will be led out of the agency’s New Delhi headquarters and executed across the country.

The Honda remit is the latest in a string of wins, including the additions of Samsung, Danone, Mylan and Bayer to the agency’s client roster.

The automobile industry in India is facing several challenges including declining sales due to the disruption by rideshare apps as well as the need to chart a future that includes electric vehicles. The Government of India has also declared its intention to strongly focus on EVs, making the need for EV offerings urgent.
