Journalist-Author Pavan Lall joins cosmetic e-tailer Nykaa as senior consultant comms, public policy and regulatory affairs

Author-journalist Pavan C Lall has joined Nykaa as senior consultant for communications, public policy and regulatory affairs. He will continue to contribute articles across platforms for the automotive, real estate and hospitality sectors.
Set up in 2012, the leading cosmetic e-tailer says it fulfils over a million orders per month. Bollywood star Alia Bhatt was the latest investor to join the Nykaa bandwagon in October 2020 which includes investments from Steadview Capital in May 2020 ( 167 crore rupees in two tranches), 100 crores from TPG Growth and over US $ 15 million from Lighthouse India Fund III.
Lall has worked as a journalist with publications such as Fortune and Business Standard as well as TV stations such as Bloomberg TV.
In 2019, Lall published a book on the absconding diamond merchant Nirav Modi titled 'Flawed: The Rise and Fall of India's Diamond Mogul Nirav Modi.'
