Singapore’s first and only 3 day Hindi Theatre Festival, Dastak, announced its 3rd-year edition to be held in Singapore in November this year. Krescendo Communications has been roped in as a strategic alliance partner for promoting the event.
Dastak was conceptualised by 'WeCanDoIt' productions in Singapore in 2016. Dastak showcases 10 hard-hitting short plays directed by 10 different directors. It, therefore, means both a knock in Hindi and also has another connotation 'Das Tak' which is a count from one to ten.
Announcing the alliance, Shalaka Ranadive, founder and festival director, Dastak, said “ We have put in our experience, knowledge and passion for theatre together, embarking on this immensely rich journey. We are happy that we have roped in Krescendo Communications as our strategic alliance partner, they loved the concept and have plans to take this theatre group to the APAC region.”
Ganesh Somwanshi, founder, Krescendo Communications, adds, “The passion for theatre is contagious and the objective is to showcase talent via Hindi theatre not just in Singapore, we hope it will find an enthusiastic audience in the APAC region."
