MediaCom, a joint venture company backed by media and advertising veteran Sam Balsara and GroupM, has picked up the mandate to handle all media planning and buying activities for Future Group. MediaCom has won the account-estimated at 300 crore rupees, following a multi agency pitch. The company was already handling the TV buying duties
for the Kishore Biyani led retail giant since April last year.
Commenting on the move, Sandip Tarkas, president, customer strategy, Future Group MediaCom's choice of the team lead in Ashwini Kamat also played
an important role in making the decision – as we now have an agency with very strong lineage, an understanding of our need, a solid experienced top management and a
very responsive and responsible team leader to handle our account.”
The Future group business will be managed out of MediaCom Bombay.
