MSL, Publicis Groupe’s strategic communications and engagement firm, today announced the appointment of Rachna Sharma to two newly created roles; director, citizenship and chief mentoring officer.
Speaking to PRmoment India, Amit Misra, CEO, MSL India said that part of Sharma's mandate will be to incubate a mentoring system that is intrinsic to the DNA of the company.
Having a formal position of a chief mentoring officer is a first for MSLGROUP India. It is also an unusual role for PR firms in India.
Reporting to Misra, Sharma as director, citizenship, will head the citizenship practice in India, which includes leading and developing mandates in the sector of social purpose, sustainability and community development.
Sharma, a postgraduate from the Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA) comes with over 20 years of rich experience in integrated marketing communications, having held corporate and agency roles in markets of India and Indonesia.
In her most recent role, she was director, communications & research at Abt Associates, a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation-funded project. She has also spent over 12 years working with global PR firm Edelman in Indonesia where she held several senior positions and subsequently with Cohn and Wolfe in Indonesia as country managing director
