Neeraj Jha set to join Bharti Airtel as head for corporate communications and corporate affairs

Former head of corporate communications at HDFC Bank, Neeraj Jha, is set to join Airtel as the head of corporate communications and corporate affairs on the 18th of January 2021. He makes this move after 14 years at HDFC.

When contacted to confirm his new role, Neeraj Jha verified the development saying, "I am super excited about the move and the opportunity to serve yet another iconic brand.”

Jha will be based in Gurgaon and will report directly to Gopal Vittal, CEO, Bharti Airtel India and South Asia.

According to TRAI, Airtel is the second largest telecom operator in India (after Jio) with over 28% of the market share. Bharti Airtel (TRAI data) gained the largest number of subscribers is September 2020, adding 3.8 million people to their user base.

Jha has also worked at Reliance and at Financial Express as special correspondent. He has nearly 24 years of experience as a communicator and journalist.

Jha takes on his new role even as former head of communications for Bharti Enterprises, Raza Khan, moved on in October 2020 to lead corporate communications at Udaan; a wholesale and bulk orders online market for SMEs.
