Avian Media founder and CEO, Nitin Mantri, has taken over from Sharif D Rangnekar as the president of Public Relations Consultants Association of India(PRCAI).
The managing committee members of PRCAI took the decision last week, after Rangnekar stepped down. Nitin Mantri told PRmoment India that his priority for the next one year of his tenure as President would be to build consensus around some of the issue that agencies face including a common code on issues such as talent, pricing, ethics and education.
The priority would also be to build traction for the PR business and its functions. PRCAI is also planning a greater push for education and a series of conferences on measurement across the country.
Mantri added that,"Sharif in last three years has done some great work for the industry and I hope to continue the momentum. PRCAI is a fantastic organisation. I have enjoyed a long and fruitful association with it. In my role as President, I will continue to underline the importance of high professional standards, support communications professionals across the country and try to improve the public perception of public relations.”
