Publicis elevates Amit Misra to CEO, MSL South Asia; expands footprint in the region

Publicis Communications India has announced the promotion of Amit Misra to CEO, MSL, South Asia, to lead the brand across SAARC regions, including India, with an additional primary focus on Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Amit was previously CEO, MSL, India. He will continue to report to Saurabh Varma, CEO, Publicis Communications, South Asia.
Amit Misra who joined MSL in 2013 as EVP and director, public affairs, took over India operations as CEO in 2014. With over two decades of experience, Amit has played a pivotal role in building brand MSL in India. A statement released by MSL today says that under his leadership the firm has achieved double-digit growth year on year; 75% cumulative growth in the past four years.
Commenting on the development, Saurabh Varma, CEO, Publicis Communications, South Asia, said, “South Asia holds incredible opportunities for us and I cannot think of a better leader than Amit to drive synergies for us in this region. Amit has played a tremendous role in building MSL in India.”
