Rashmi Vasisht, former communications lead at Apple India, has joined Cognizant, one of the world’s leading professional services company as VP, corporate communications.
Vasisht will report to Cognizant chief communications officer, Jeff DeMarrais. DeMarrais joined Cognizant last year having previously worked in leadership roles at IBM, GE and Amgen.
Vasisht has over 20 years of integrated communication and policy affairs experience with stints at several high profile positions.
She has worked as director health care policy and communications at the New York State Attorney General's office where she developed and launched the country’s first prescription drug price comparison website.
At Apple she cultivated major national media relationships in technology, business, and consumer outlets and shared communication counsel with C-suite executives globally, collaborated with leadership team to achieve business and policy goals for the geography.
