Samarpita Samaddar, former PR lead at Zee Studios, has joined Bumble as the India PR director to lead the brand's communications strategies in India.
Bumble is a social network by women, for everyone, available in 150 countries, connecting people across dating (Bumble Date), friendship (Bumble BFF) and professional networking (Bumble Bizz).
With a decade's experience in communications, induing a stint at Eros International, Samaddar is also a Godrej PRmoment India Adfactors 30 under 30 winner.
Samaddar has over a decade of experience in building brands across several sectors including entertainment, the arts, lifestyle, sports, among others. Her previous stints include communications roles in organisations including Eros International, India Foundation for the Arts (IFA) among others.
Bumble puts the control of reaching out in the hands of women, creating a sense of empowerment and control for women in their online interactions.
This week, Bloomberg Quint reported that Bumble may be going in for an IPO next year that would significantly increase its valuation in the billion dollar plus range.
