Senior leadership changes at Edelman, Vinod Moorthy moves from leading Tata mandate at Rediffusion Edelman to Edelman as national reputation lead

After more than two years at Edelman India, Amit Narayan has decided to move on to pursue opportunities at a risk management consulting firm. In a statememt issued today evening, Edelman said that Amit has played a key role in building their reputation business working with sector leads, leading corporate programs for HP, Nissan, KPMG, Shell and TVS, among others.

Rakesh Thukral, managing director, Edelman India, said that, "His contribution to the firm and, particularly, to the teams he guided has been invaluable. I want to thank Amit for his partnership and wish him all the very best in his journey ahead. He will be with Edelman India until January 25, 2018."

Vinod Moorthy, who has led the Tata business as director of Rediffusion/Edelman since he joined in 2015, will take over the role of the national reputation lead effective January 25, 2018. Vinod was not just leading the Tata business but driving corporate reputation programs for Tata clients across the mandate.

Prior to joining Edelman, Vinod was with H+K Strategies where he was SVP, North India and corporate practice lead, APAC. He brings over 20 years of communications experience, counselling clients across a broad spectrum of industries including financial services, aviation, telecom and technology, biotechnology and manufacturing. In the National Reputation Lead role, Vinod will continue to build and strengthen our reputation offering, working alongside the brand team and the sector leads to grow the India business. He will continue to be based in Mumbai and report to Rakesh Thukral.

In another announcement, Anil Nim has joined Edelman this week as associate director to lead the corporate business in Delhi NCR. Anil comes with over two decades of experience in marketing and communications. Until recently, Anil was associate director – brand, marketing and communications with EY (Ernst & Young) where he managed marketing for the transactions advisory aervices and all industry/sector programs focused on the C-suite executive level. In this role, Anil has worked on EY’s go-to-market programs, media relations, content strategy and external initiatives optimizing offline and online platforms.

Before EY, Anil has worked in senior roles for leading global and Indian communications firms where he advised companies across Aviation, Consumer Goods, Media & Entertainment, IT services sectors among others. Some of his former clients include Tata Tea, Tata Coffee, GMR, Singapore Airlines, Airbus, Volvo, Canon, GSK, KFC & M&S. Anil will oversee some of our key client relationships from Delhi working with sector and national leads to drive Corporate business in New Delhi. He will be based in Gurgaon and report to Vinod Moorthy.
