Ex Paytm communications lead how now joined Saif Partners as an advisor, corporate communications for leading India focused investor Saif Partners portfolio firms. These include high profile companies such as Paytm, Chayoos, Urban Clap, MakeMyTrip and Rivigo.
Sonia Dhawan confirmed the news to PRmoment India. Before this, Dhawan was VP, corporate communications at Paytm backed gaming platform, First Games and director of corporate communications at women-focused platform SHEROES.
In 2018, Dhawan was charged in an extortion case by the Noida police following a Paytm complaint. As per this story in the Economic Times, Dhawan was then granted bail in 2019 after her plea before the Allahabad high court, “claimed innocence and laid stress on the fact that there is nothing concrete emerging against her.”
