Tata Power-DDL floats open tender to appoint PR agency on retainer

Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL), the Tata Power and Delhi Government joint venture that distributes electricity across North and North-West Delhi, has issued an open tender for the appointment of a public relations agency on a retainer basis.

The tender (Ref: TPDDL/ENGG/ENQ/200001974/26-27) went live on 4th July 2026, with bids due by 24th July 2026.

The appointed agency will be expected to handle 30–35 press releases annually, quarterly leadership profiling of the CEO and senior management, issue-led stories, speaker opportunities at media-organised events, and coverage across print, broadcast, digital, and international publications. The mandate also includes crisis and issues management with 24x7 media monitoring, whitepaper and insight report development, policy advocacy support, awards strategy, and spokesperson training.

Two dedicated resources — one at executive level and one at managerial level — are required to be stationed on the account.

On eligibility, bidders need a minimum average annual turnover of Rs. 3 crore over the last three financial years, at least five years in PR, a minimum of 12 active retainer clients, prior experience serving a company in the power sector, and a Delhi NCR office. At least 15 executive-level staff based in Delhi NCR are required, of whom at least three should be former journalists on the agency's regular rolls for a minimum of one year.

The contract is structured as a four-year rate contract, an initial one-year term with three annual renewals subject to performance review. Bidders are required to quote a monthly retainer fee for each year, with evaluation based on the all-inclusive four-year grand total. The earnest money deposit is Rs. 2,60,000, with a non-refundable tender fee of Rs. 5,000.
