Tata Sons chief communication officer, Pradipta Bagchi moves on from the organisation

Tata Sons chief communication officer, Pradipta Bagchi, is moving on from the organisation two years after he took over one of India's leading PR jobs.

Bagchi confirmed the news to PRmoment India saying that he will be staying at the firm till the end of October 2019. Tata is yet to make a formal announcement on the resignation.

Bagchi said he will take some time off after October to explore his next steps. Market sources told PRmoment India that Bagchi's replacement could come from Tata's internal pool of employees.

A professional with over 25 years of experience in business, media and communications, Bagchi was the global head of corporate communications for Tata Group's most profitable firm TCS from 2005 to 2017.

After he took as CCO, the PR mandate for Tata moved from Edelman to Adfactors PR.

At the time of Bagchi's takeover as CCO in September 2017, N. Chandrasekaran, chairman, Tata Sons, had said: “As the group chief communications officer, he will play a key role in driving seamless communication experience across the Tata group as well as create engagement with stakeholders. Having worked with Pradipta for a decade, I know that his energy and experience will be very valuable in this area.”
