Amazon India has awarded its PR mandate for the Echo range of Alexa enabled devices to The PRactice. The firm, that has handled technology clients such as Infosys and AMD, has started work today on the new account.
The PRactice starts work even as Amazon is making a push for an offline presence by launching 100 kiosks at malls all over the country by the end of the year for selling its Echo range of devices, Kindle e-book reader and the Fire TV dongle. A recent report by the 'International Data Corp' said that the Amazon Echo smart speakers were the top selling range in India for 2018, mopping up 59% of the smart speaker market. This has been fuelled by the second and third generation models of the Amazon Echo Dot. Google Home has a 39% market share for the same period.
