Trafalgar Strategy, the leading global advisory, communications and reputation management firm, announced that Jag Khangura MVO has joined its advisory board.
Jag brings head-of-state–level expertise in global security and will be the board’s lead on the Indian market while strengthening links with South Asian diaspora businesses in the UK. The move will allow clients to access Jag's expertise in the growing sector of personal security.
Jag has had a distinguished 30-year career in service, most recently as protection team leader for His Majesty The King & Her Majesty The Queen, which included overseeing their Majesties' recent overseas trip to the United States.
Born in rural India and emigrating to Britain when young, Jag’s journey from the Punjab to The Palace has given him unique experience at the highest levels of security, strategy, negotiation, and communication. His integral role during Her Majesty the late Queen’s funeral and His Majesty The King’s Coronation brought global recognition to a career defined by trust, discretion, and integrity.
Jag’s unique insight into UK-India relations and his connections across diaspora communities will be central to Trafalgar Strategy's rapid expansion into the Indian market. Led by Trafalgar Strategy partner Jonathan Badyal, the firm has become a trusted advisor to multiple businesses on their India strategy. The firm's senior team has counselled prime ministers, cabinet secretaries, business leaders, high-net-worth individuals and celebrities across the world.
Giles Kenningham MBE, founding partner, Trafalgar Strategy, said, “We are thrilled to welcome Jag to our Advisory Board. He brings an exceptional mind with a track record that is second to none. Jag offers a completely different skillset to our team which, in an ever changing world, will be integral for our clients”.
Jag Khangura MVO said, “It is a real privilege to join the Trafalgar Strategy Advisory Board and combine my expertise and experience with the immense talent already delivering at a world-class level for their clients."
This announcement reinforces the firm’s commitment to continued growth into 2026 and beyond following the formation of the business’ new partnership structure in 2025, and the launch of its Dubai office. It follows Trafalgar Strategy's recent appointment of respected leader Ani Kaprekar as the firm's Senior Counsel - India.
In June 2025, founding partner Giles Kenningham MBE, former Head of Press at 10 Downing Street, was joined by three new partners in the firm: Andrew MacDougall, former director of communications to Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper; Jonathan Badyal, previously director of communications at Universal Music UK and DCMS policy adviser; and Zoe Thorogood OBE, most recently head of communications for Bechtel, EMEA and chief of staff at CCHQ.
