Usha Iyer, recently the director of communications at pharma major Dr Reddy's Laboratories, has joined credit information firm TransUnion CIBIL Limited as joint VP & lead - PR & corporate communications.

After over a decade in the health sector, Iyer has now stepped into a BFSI comms lead role. She has previously worked at Cipla, Strides and Max Life Insurance.

With a Masters in Science and Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics and Political Science, Iyer has built and shaped the corporate communication function and strategy at multiple listed companies.

She has won awards for patient-centric business therapy campaigns, including one from the PRmoment Health and Wellness Comms awards in 2024 for a neuromodulation device for migraine management. 

She has also spearheaded crucial cross-functional projects (annual reports, integrated reports, SEBI & regulatory disclosures, Investor Day, liaising with industry bodies).
