After a four year stint at GMR, Yuvraj Mehta has now joined the engineering and construction conglomerate, Larsen and Toubro as the head of brand management and communications. He also worked with Reliance Infrastructure, making him an experienced infrastructure PR hand.
Mehta will move to Mumbai from Delhi.
A 17 billion dollar firm, Larsen and Toubro recently declared a 37% uptick in profit on the back of a strong quarter for the end of 2018. The firm's iconic group chairman AM Naik, whose encashing of 50 year's worth of sick leave drew public comment, rose from within the firm spending his life at Larsen and Toubro since 1965. Naik, who handed over operational reigns to SN Subrahmanyan in 2017, is considered one of the world's best-performing business leaders. He led the company to defence and aerospace ventures such as the nuclear submarine INS Arihant and beat off a hostile takeover bid from the Ambanis and the Birlas.
