Zeno Group buys UK based 3 Monkeys Communications

Zeno Group, part of the Daniel J Edelman group, has acquired independent PR shop 3 Monkeys Communications.  3 Monkeys is one of UK's leading independent PR firms. The buy out makes Zeno  a mid-sized global, independent agency.

3 Monkeys clients include Castrol, Lenovo, Microsoft and Starbucks.I n the UK, the newly-combined firm will have round 75 people and will be known as 3 Monkeys | Zeno. 3 Monkeys founder Angie Moxham becomes Chief Monkey, Zeno Europe reporting to Zeno. Group CEO, Barby K. Seigel.

Angie Moxham, founder and Chief Monkey, Zeno Europe, said: “We have been looking at how we globalise 3 Monkeys for a few years now, in response to client demand, including us going on the acquisition trail. No route, however, could come close to the capabilities and bandwidth we gain on day one by joining forces with Zeno.”

In an interview to PRmoment India last July, Barby K. Seigel, CEO, Zeno Group said that they are looking to grow to 100 million dollars from the current 39.9 million, "  Along with organic growth, we are also looking for strategic acquisitions that share our set of 5 core values that include being fearless, collaborative, human, true to our word and committed. As we grow, we want to make sure that we remain centered around our values.”

In a statement issued today Siegel added that, “With 3 Monkeys | Zeno, we now have a more powerful platform from which to grow in Europe and beyond. Cultural fit was of paramount importance to Angie and to me." 

The acquisition is effective immediately. Zeno’s UK team will move into the current 3 Monkeys premises in Soho, London, this week.
