Truecaller's Pragya Misra to lead public policy and partnerships for OpenAI in India, per Bloomberg

As per Bloomberg, OpenAI, developer of Chat GPT has appointed Pragya Misra as the head of public policy and partnerships for India.

PRmoment India has reached out to Misra for formal confirmation and will update this story accordingly.  Misra takes on the role amid a critical India General Election that could test the impact of AI on political engagement.

India recently withdrew a directive that would have made it mandatory for tech firms to seek its formal nod before launching what it termed as, “unreliable” or “under-tested” generative AI models or tools, that may, “threaten the integrity of the electoral process”
