ICCO summit reveals full line up

The full line-up for the ICCO summit, “Change or Perish: The Future of PR”, has been announced with the names including Global CEOs of APCO Worldwide, FleishmanHillard, GolinHarris, Huntsworth, Ogilvy PR and Porter Novelli.

The International Communications Consultancy Organisation (ICCO), is the ‘voice’ for public relations consultancies globally. The organisation is made up of national trade associations in twenty-eight countries, who collectively represent near on 1,500 firms. They provide a forum for senior management from various PR agencies around the world to address any issues or concerns they may have within the PR industry.

The ICCO summit is a bi-annual event that brings together a variety of senior practitioners from a number of PR Consultancies from all over the globe to discuss, debate and share the main issues and trends surrounding the PR industry. The next summit is due to take place in Paris on the 10th-11th October 2013

The two days are packed with a variety of presentations. A highlight on day one is speeches from two of the most powerful women in the industry – Margery Kraus and Karen van Bergen. Kraus, the founder and CEO of the largest women and independently owned global communications firm APCO Worldwide, will speak about the role of women in shaping the past and future direction of PR. With Porter Novelli Global CEO Karen van Bergen tackling the existing diversity crisis within the industry, and outlining the ways it can be reversed.

On the same day, guests can also hear discussions regarding the ‘Agency of Future’ and the topics surrounding the innovation of PR.

Francis Ingham, ICCO Executive Director, said: “This year the ICCO Summit will see the biggest names in the industry come to the most beautiful city in the world to discuss the most important issues PR is facing. If you work in the agency business attendance is compulsory.”

Day two will feature the keynote from Huntsworth CEO Lord Chadlington and another major speech from the Global CEO of Ogilvy PR Christopher Graves, who will talk about the five forces that will change the agency business for good.

There will be further presentations later in the day, followed by a panel discussion with the world’s leading independent agencies.
