Leading global food brand, Danone, has appointed Avian WE as its new PR consultancy on record following a competitive pitch. As part of the new partnership, Avian WE will drive Danone’s health and nutrition agenda across India.
Avian WE’s remit covers both corporate and brand communications. The firm is tasked with building and executing a national and regional communications strategy to support Danone’s expansion plans across diverse markets of the country.
Danone offers nutrition legacy brands such as Protinex and Farex in India from 2012, according to their website.
“At Danone, we are committed to building a healthier world with purposeful brands,” said Shefali Sapra, director, public affairs & corporate Communications, Danone India. “Avian WE’s expertise in public health and issues-based advocacy makes them an excellent partner to help build communication that will drive adoption and real change."
Avian WE’s social impact practice, dedicated to driving impact-focused campaigns beneficial to both people and the planet, will partner with Danone India to deliver against the remit. The account will be led from Avian WE’s office in Delhi, with support from its other offices throughout India.
“Purpose is no longer an option but an imperative. Today’s consumers expect brands to demonstrate purpose led leadership and play an active role in driving societal change,” said Nitin Mantri, Group CEO of Avian WE.
Danone India joins Avian WE’s growing healthcare client roster, following the wins of Bayer and Mylan in recent months.
