What the PRL India teams said about their competing experience
The teams have been wonderfully enthusiastic and engaged through the 2-month competition period
Team AviaNaaris said (Sumedha Kanwar and Monika Singh) said, "PR League was genuinely enriching for us, and yes, that sounds like something a PR professional would say. In this case, it also happens to be true."
Sumedha adds, "As someone who has lived and breathed B2B tech for years, I didn’t realise we had a knack for B2C until the pitch round pushed us there. It stretched a different muscle, one I didn’t know was being underused. Naturally, I walked into the B2B round thinking, ‘This should be easy. But was it? This wasn’t the usual industry pitch. Creating market relevance and penetration demanded deeper thinking, sharper positioning and a clear business lens which is well beyond standard playbooks. It was a challenge in disguise. Did it stretch me? Absolutely. Did I enjoy it? Even more so. Deeply grateful to the organisers, mentors and judges for designing a journey that doesn’t just evaluate skill but builds leadership."
Team Desi Girls ( Dhara Sangoi and Mokshada Deshmukh) shared, "PR League India was an incredibly well-curated and enriching experience. What stood out was the way the competition tested the full spectrum of modern communications, from future-facing strategic thinking and crisis response to creative B2C and B2B storytelling and how thoughtfully every stage was designed.
Each stage pushed us to think more sharply, prioritise better, and anchor our ideas in real business outcomes. The structure, clear evaluation criteria, and live pitch formats created an environment that felt both rigorous and rewarding. It wasn’t just about coming up with ideas; it was about demonstrating clarity, agility, empathy, and measurable impact. Initiatives like this play an important role in elevating the standards of the profession and giving young communicators a meaningful platform to grow."
Team PR Warriors (Aishwarya Jayaraman and Rahul Mohanto) said, " Participating in the PR League was a reminder that great PR isn’t about activity. It’s about clarity of thinking under pressure. The experience pushed me to move beyond execution and focus on business impact, sharp narratives, and decisive strategy. It was less a competition and more a test of how you think as a communications leader."
Team PRnomads' (Rahul Pathak and Manisha Halder) said, My experience at PR League was nothing short of a powerful learning journey. Each stage offered a deeper understanding of what public relations truly stands for today and how it is steadily evolving into a strategic business function that delivers meaningful, measurable outcomes.
Among all the stages, Stage Two – the crisis simulation stood out as the most memorable and insightful for me. It offered a real-world glimpse into the critical role PR plays during moments of uncertainty. This stage reinforced the fact that in a crisis, proactiveness, clarity, and speed are everything. The way a brand communicates in such moments can decisively determine whether it regains trust or risks long-term damage. It was a hands-on reminder that PR is not just about storytelling, but about stewardship and responsibility.
To summarise, PR League was all about understanding the depth of public relations: strategic thinking, timely decision-making, and the ability to protect and build reputation when it matters most. As the proverb wisely says: “Learning is a treasure that will follow its owner everywhere. PR League truly embodied this spirit by offering lessons that extend far beyond the experience itself."
Our partners have voiced strong support for the league's mission
Vineet Handa, founder & CEO of Kaizzen, stated, "Change in our industry is rapid and relentless. In such a dynamic environment, PR League, an initiative by PRmoment India for young PR professionals stands out as a milestone platform. The format challenges emerging talent to adapt, up skill, and master the tricks of the trade from industry experts, mentors and even their own peers. It was wonderful to see how structured and well thought out each of the four rounds of assessment was. From the launch, it has been a few intense months for all the participants and for all of us who have been following the scoreboard after every round. Many congratulations to the winners, and a huge shoutout to all the participants, the scores were very close and that itself speaks about the volume of talent in the industry. And of course, congratulations to PRmoment, Paarul and Ben for conceptualising and executing this so seamlessly. As always Kaizzen is proud to support the initiative.”
Neha Mehrotra, managing director of Avian We. said, "The 4-to-8-year experience bracket represents the engine room of our profession—full of passion and burgeoning expertise. The PR League India offered these professionals a unique, merit-based stage to shine. Avian We. is proud to champion this initiative, as fostering a culture of excellence and creating opportunities for emerging talent is at the very core of our DNA"
"It’s been energising to support PRL India and see the calibre of emerging talent. One learning I’d offer is to spend more time questioning a brief before solving it. Real-world communications demands pushback, clarity and alignment. That’s how you set yourself up for success", says Arpana Kumar Ahuja, EVP & head, corporate brand & communications, Jindal Steel.
"The PR League is a vital bridge turning India's bright PR talent into tomorrow's confident, homegrown industry leaders. It was thrilling to witness teams transform nervous energy into award-winning strategies", says Girish Balachandran, founder, ON PURPOSE
