Harsha Ramachandra, previously assistant VP at Tata Sons and general manager-corporate communications at TCS has now taken over as the head of corporate communications at Tata Sons.
Tata Sons is the principal investment holding company and promoter of Tata companies. 66% of the equity share capital of Tata Sons is held by philanthropic trusts, which support education, health, livelihood generation, and art and culture.
Each Tata company or enterprise operates independently under the guidance and supervision of its own Board of Directors.
This makes Ramachandra one of the top corporate communications professionals in the country. She will be leading group corporate communications including external, internal and social media for Tata Sons.
Ramachandra's promotion comes three years after the previous occupant of the post Pradipta Bagchi moved on from the organisation, Bagchi post was that of chief communications officer.
At that time, market sources told PRmoment India that Bagchi's replacement could come from Tata's internal pool of employees. That is what has happened eventually with Tata Sons promoting an internal candidate to the top PR post in Tata Sons.
