Public Affairs Forum of India announces new office bearers, Rediff Comm’s Rahul Sharma new president

Public Affairs Forum of India (PAFI)  has announced new office bearers for 2016-17. Rahul Sharma, president, Rediffusion Communications, is the new president of PAFI taking over from T.S. Vishwanath, principal adviser, APJ-SLG Law Offices.

 Harish Krishnan, executive director, public affairs & strategic engagements, Cisco India & SAARC will be the new vice president. 

Dr K C Ravi, vice president- commercial acceptance & public policy, South Asia, Syngenta India Limited, is the new secretary of the organisation, and Raman Sidhu, chairman, EBG Federation, India (erstwhile European Business Group), will the new treasurer.

“PAFI’s growth has been remarkable and this year the focus will be on capacity building, not only for our members, but also for the many who aspire to become public affairs professionals. We will reach out to like-minded stakeholders – including those in the government -- for programmes and experience sharing so that we all benefit,” Sharma said.

Since its formal inception in 2012, PAFI has been actively promoting public affairs as a profession and organising regular meetings and forums to exchange views and share experiences. It is PAFI’s belief that public affairs will play an increasingly significant role in organizations as well as the development of India’s economy.
