25% of all app downloads in India driven by paid ads in 2015

Currently the third largest smartphone market in the world, India also accounts for 95 of the world’s total app downloads.
-2015 proved to be a significant year of growth for India's mobile economy, with 23.6% of the total population using smartphones.
-The two areas which have shown strong growth in 2015 are travel, driven by ride hailing apps such as Uber and Ola and messaging apps. Shopping, though, is still the lead category in apps installed.
-Engagement with Apps is also rising, with trends showing that Indian consumers open their apps an average of 5 times in 2015, double the amount in 2014. This points to better engagement and loyalty towards Apps.
