Delhi Metro Rail Corp promotes Anuj Dayal to principal executive director, corporate communications

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has elevated Anuj Dayal to the position of principal executive director (corporate communications). This is so far the highest position in the field of corporate communication in the public sector (PSU). Anuj Dayal has been heading the corporate communications wing of DMRC for over two decades now.

A civil servant of the 1985 batch, Anuj Dayal started his career with Indian Railways in 1987. After a successful stint of around 11 years with the railways, he moved to DMRC in 1998. He has been instrumental in building the brand DMRC from scratch.
Under Anuj Dayal’s able leadership, the corporate communications team of Delhi Metro has been recognised as a Centre of Excellence by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Dayal has received the National Film Awards in 2011 and 2020 for producing the Best Promotional Film (Non-Feature Film) from the Govt. of India.
He has also penned several books, including one on project management, which has been appreciated by the Harvard Business School and they have prepared a case study on the same. He has been closely associated with the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for the preparation of a study on "Excellence in Management".
