Ikea India hires Cohn & Wolfe Six Degrees for national PR mandate

Ikea India, which is set to open its' first store in India in Hyderabad in spring this year, has hired Cohn & Wolfe Six Degrees for its's PR mandate. The mandate is said to be upwards of 100,000 US Dollars a year and will be led out of all three offices of Cohn & Wolfe Six Degrees in Delhi, Bengaluru and Mumbai.
The PR firm will start work on the national mandate, which includes both PR and public affairs, next week. The Indian government recently allowed 100% foreign direct investment in single brand retail stores such as Ikea and Apple, giving a boost to India based investments of brands such as Ikea.
January has been a season fo hectic PR activity with the Tata Group hiring Adfactors PR and now Ikea has replaced Perfect Relations with Cohn & Wolfe Six Degrees.
